There are many things to consider when looking for a contractor to build a deck. License, skill level, and quality of work aside, a contractor has to be able to communicate with his clients. With many happy clients in Carlsbad, Fallbrook, Encinitas, Temecula, Murrieta, Oceanside, La Jolla, and San Diego, North County.
I have been building in San Diego, Fallbrook, Temecula and Riverside County for over 25 years. In that time I have seen many different levels of quality of work. From work done by inexperienced home owners or workers, to beautifully built pieces that were constructed by contractors with an incredible ability, and eye for design. It's always heart breaking and frustrating to see poor craftsmanship, but seeing a well done project can be inspirational. I have been taking mental notes my entire life as to what is the best way to put something together. There are many ways to build, but there is only one way to build something right.
A great example of this is with fire pits. The fire pit is a great way to create a warm gathering area in a backyard. The ambience and focal point it creates invites guests to relax and unwind. Fire pits also can be a source of frustration for home owners who hire a contractor without the skill or background to understand what makes a great fire pit. There is (believe it or not) a science to the size of the ring, positioning, the size of the gas line etc, that unless done right will result in a fir pit that more resembles a few BIC lighters rather than a cozy fire.
This also holds true for water features. Unless constructed properly water damage or water leaks can ruin a project. That on top of the fact that water pressure, stream size, and height of the stream have a lot to do with over spray, and sound quality are things that need to be considered during the construction process.

We have built many custom decks, stairs, sun shades and patio covers throughout San Diego and North County. We live in the best part of the nation, so why not spend more time outside by expanding your living space?
Before beginning a deck, patio cover or home improvement project of any scale, there are important questions to ask, such as: will you need drawings or city permits? These are required any time you add anything structural or move plumbing or electrical wiring, which are involved in many outdoor projects. It is a good idea to find the original structure drawings; they will save you money on a new project. It is your responsibility to ensure that the contractor you hire has a city license as well as a current, valid state contractor's license and the proper insurance. Please visit our FAQ page for additional information on how to find a contractor you can trust.
We designed our website to assist you, the consumer, in understanding how to find a reputable and experienced general contractor. We know that your home is a valuable asset, and any deck or patio cover project represents not only an upgrade to your living environment, but a financial investment you would like to see a return on. We strongly urge our clients not to always select their contractor based on the cheapest bid. Often you get what you pay for, and cheap work won't last in the long run. Cheap prices often include cheap labor and cheap materials. Be sure that any bids you receive are fully detailed and include all of the work you plan to do so that you aren't surprised with high bills for "extra" items as your project progresses. It's of paramount importance that you select a builder for your project that you have good, open communication with and who you feel comfortable entrusting your home to.
has never received a negative customer review from a deck or patio cover project of any kind. We believe we never will, because we are wholly committed to putting you, our clients, first.
We look forward to working with you.

Welcome to my site!
You have a lot to think about when you decide to get a deck or patio cover, even more when you remodel. There is a lot of information out there, and its really easy to get overwhelmed. That's where I come in. With over 25 years of experience I have the answers that you need to keep your project moving. No one has seen it all, but I've seen a lot, and I use that knowledge to stay one (or two) steps ahead of your project. On the job training over all areas of construction has given me the tools to know how each part of your project will affect your home. But more importantly than my experience is my ability to communicate with my clients. If I can't communicate each and every step of the building process enough that everyone is comfortably on the same page, then I'm not doing my job right.
My job is to create something for you that you will enjoy for years to come.
Its always a shame to hear of homeowners who had a terrible experience with their contractor, and have to be reminded of it each time they step out on their deck, or fire up their barbeque. That's why I believe in building trust with a client one job at a time. I do almost all the work myself to ensure the highest level of quality and service. I only work on one job at a time, with a start and end date clearly outlined. I believe that I am privileged to be in your home, which is why I treat every home, and family with respect.
Proudly serving all of beautiful San Diego and Riverside County Since 1985.
